These terms cover the Village website at itsvillage.com as it exists today, which is a sign-up list. They are deliberately short, because the site does very little. When the Village platform opens, we will publish fuller terms covering accounts, scripts, projects, and payments, and we will tell you before they apply to you.

By using this site or signing up, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not sign up.

What this site is

This site tells you what we are building and lets you join the list to hear about it.

Signing up does not create an account, and it does not give you access to the Village platform. It puts you on a list. We will email you when we have something worth telling you.

What we can and cannot promise

We are building Village in stages, and we would rather be straight with you about what that means:

• We cannot promise when Village will open, or that everyone on the list will get access.
• We may change what we are building, how it works, or what it costs.
• We may pause or stop the project. We think that is unlikely, but you should know it is possible before you sign up.
• Anything we say about future features, timing or plans is a statement of current intent, not a commitment.

Signing up

You must be 18 or over to sign up.

Please give us accurate information and only sign up with an email address you are entitled to use. Do not sign up on someone else's behalf without asking them first.

Nothing here is an offer or advice

Because Village works with film projects and with the people who fund them, we want to be explicit about one thing.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or an invitation to buy, any security, investment or financial product, and nothing here is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. If you are interested in investing in film, take independent professional advice.

Using the site properly

Please do not:

• copy, scrape or republish the site or its content;
• try to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to it;
• submit anything unlawful, abusive or misleading;
• sign up repeatedly or automatically or use the form to send spam.

If you do any of these, we may block your access and remove you from the list.

Our content

The Village name, logo, wording, design, and everything else on this site belongs to Village or to the people who licensed it to us. You are welcome to read it and share a link to it. You may not reuse it as your own.

Images on the site may include stock or illustrative material and do not represent actual Village projects.

No warranties

We provide this site as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted, and we do not guarantee that everything on it is complete or current.

Our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Village is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, or from any decision you make based on it.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

This site may link to other websites. We do not control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site develops. The date at the top always shows the current version. If the change is significant, we will tell you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of that state.
